EEO-1 PORTAL OPENING PUSHED TO FALL 2023
The EEOC released an update stating that “the EEOC has updated the tentative opening of the 2022 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection to the Fall of 2023 .” The previous projected opening date was in mid-July of 2023. We will post an update once the EEOC announces the final opening date.

EEOC Releases New Technical Assistance Document on Artificial Intelligence and Employment Decisions

Update Your EEOC Posters
On October 19, 2022 the EEOC released a new poster titled “Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal” which replaces the previous “EEO is the Law” poster. Covered employers are required to prominently display the poster in a conspicuous location in the workplace where notices to applicants and employees are customarily posted. EEO-1 Filing Deadline Extended Again to October 25, 2021
ATTENTION EMPLOYERS: The EEOC has announced that the deadline for filing EEO-1 reports has been extended to Monday, October 25. This is for both the 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 reports. EEO-1 Data Collection Begins April 26, 2021
Attention employers: The EEOC has announced that EEO-1 data collection will begin on Monday, April 26, 2021. Employers should be prepared to submit Component 1 data for 2019 and 2020. EEO-1 Reporting Portal Still Closed Despite Upcoming March 30 Deadline
The deadline for companies to file their 2019 EEO-1 reports is near, but the portal is not open. The EEOC is still waiting for approval from the Office of Management and Budget to disconnect from the previous year’s Component 2 data, and to collect only Component 1 race and gender data for 2019, 2020, and 2021.
