The previous Director of the OFCCP was very interested in setting up a system to verify that all federal contractors/subcontractors had prepared the required Affirmative Action Plans (AAP) in a timely manner. Although he was not able to see this effort come to fruition during his term, it does not appear that the Biden Administration has given up the effort.
A new landing page for the Affirmative Action Plan Verification Interface (AAVI) has just appeared on the OFCCP website with the notice “Coming Soon.” It also states that “...(AAVI) is a secure web-based interface created to improve communication and the transfer of Affirmative Action Plan data, between Federal Contractors and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.”
There are several steps that need to be put in place before this effort can be launched, but just know that a serious effort is underway and you should be sure to be ready, with AAPs in place when the time comes.
